Ren Fest Garb - Italian Ren

I've made myself a gold gown out of the fabric below. Rather than starting out with burgundy velvet as I'd planned, I went with a gorgeous teal brocade for my first foray into Italian Renaissance garb. It seems the most important part of this outfit is not the outer dress at all, but the corset built underneath! Many thanks go to Mistress Annalena, who helped me with the fitting/pattern-making for the corset and bodice of this outfit.       Next is a red cotton velveteen Italian Ren gown over a white linen chemise. I made this in Stierbach colors for the baronial invesiture. And because I got 9 yards of the velveteen at 50% off. The black cotton velvet Italian Ren gown is done! I wore it with the gold gown to Ponte Alto's Investiture, since black and gold are Ponte Alto's colors. I added the hat and sleeves for Kingdom A&S two weeks later.    After the velvet and brocade, it was time to try fitted gowns using linen. With garnet and royal blue, I have made two gamurras that still keep me cool at Pennsic:
