Holy cow, those are some dark lines. We did it again!

Follow up Doctor's Appointments

First OB Appointment on Jan 18, 2006. Saw Dr Miranda and she said everything looks great. Ultrasound showed a tiny little heartbeat and measured Squirt at 7w0d. Official EDD is 9.1.06.

Had a little scare! Started spotting on Jan 26 in the evening. Spur-of-the-moment appointment revealed that all is well. Had an ultrasound and got to take home Squirt's first picture.

Ultrascreen and OB appointment scheduled on Feb 13. Started the ultrascren, but Squirt was measuring slightly too small for an accurate test (10w5d, test is accurate at 11 - 14 weeks). Got another nice ultrasound picture. Great OB appointment - weight was good at 128 lbs.

Ultrascreen on Feb 27. Everything looks great and Squirt is very active. Got 5 great pictures of Squirt to share.

Regular OB check up on March 17. Weighing in at 129lbs. Got to hear Squirt's heartbeat on the doppler. Had blood drawn for an early glucose test.

Recieved results of the glucose test on March 29 - Pass! (well, barely. BG was 139, just missed the 140 cut off.)

Level II ultrasound on April 7. Squirt was sleepy but looked great. Pictures can be found here. We're having another boy! Also had blood drawn for a thyroid test and AFP.

OB appointment on April 14. Up to 134 lbs(!) but doctor says it's fine. Blood pressure was great. Got to hear Squirt's heartbeat loud and strong.

OB appointment on May 12. More strong heartbeat sounds. Scheduled the one-hour GTT for May 26.

One hour GTT May 26. Fingers crossed!

Hooray! Passed the one hour GTT! BGL was 121.

Regular OB appointment on June 9. Up to 149 lbs(!) Blood pressure, measurements and weight all great.

Another OB appointment on June 23. Weight was 153 lbs; Blood pressure was 120/70. Baby's heartrate at 144. Tentatively scheduled a c-section for August 25 at 39 weeks.

Yet another OB appointment on July 7. Lost 1 lb - weight at 152lbs. Baby is head down and doing great.

OB appointment on July 21. We had a little scare! I gained a whopping 6 lbs in 2 weeks (up to 158 lbs!) plus the doctor found protein in my urine. My BP was fine, but she decided to send me to the hospital for tests just to be sure I didn’t have Pre-Eclympsia. Yikes! For some fateful reason, Gabe actually came to the appt with me, so we went and spent 4 hours at the Perinatal Emergency Room at the hospital. They did some bloodwork, an NST, an ultrasound and re-tested my urine, and it turns out I have a UTI. The office tests for protein can come up positive if you have a UTI – isn’t that nuts? So I ended up with an Rx for an antibiotic and we went home. Good news is Squirt looks great, was kicking up a storm and everything is fine. We even got a few new u/s pics of him.

OB Appointment on August 4. Waited a while, but finally saw the doctor. Gained only ½ a pound - yay! Excellent blood pressure at 120/60. Squirt is doing good and strong heartbeat. Had the GBS culture taken and an internal exam - not dialated or effaced AT ALL.

OB appointment on August 11. Everything is perfect. BP was great at 120/80 and only gained 2½ pounds - up to 161lbs.

OB Appointment on August 17. Great BP and no weight gain - yay! Internal exam found everything's still closed up. Next appointment - none!

Scheduled pre-OP bloodwork on August 24, and c-section for Friday, August 25 at 9AM.
